MEET Kevin
Kevin is the Director of Education Studies (Secondary) and a member of Eastern College Australia’s Academic Board. He has over 15 years of engagement and experience in education, including as an executive leader, educational designer and architect, reviewer, and consultant. He has established a secondary school (Years 7 – 12), leading a P-12 College, and carries an extensive background in policy development, strategy, and professional learning.
Kevin is passionate about supporting and empowering teachers to teach in a manner that is Christ-like, by fostering their spiritual formation as an integral part of their vocation and facilitating their understanding of how God is revealed through praxis. Kevin is avid about the power of partnering – building deep authentic trust relationships with people and the co-design and co-construction of ideas is central to the flourishing of people and communities.
Kevin has also spoken at several education forums on a variety of educational issues and plays a key role in the formation of significant partnerships between tertiary and industry across Australia. He has served on a number education and policy committees and review panels at state levels. Kevin continues to challenge himself to be a life-long learner, having completed his Master of Education specialising in Educational Leadership and Policy at Monash University with a view to continue his learning journey into Ph.D. studies. He also continues his work as a consultant, supporting schools in their pursuit to develop needs-attuned and future-focused approaches to governance and strategy, operations, and pedagogy.
Kevin is deeply rooted in his local community, currently serving as Unit Officer with Victoria State Emergency Service, and remaining involved with other community impact groups. Kevin is based in Melbourne, married to Lauren with their two beautiful children.
